About Ashley
I have been an arts educator and a parent in our district for over a decade.
As an artist, I work with students of all grade levels while teaching pre-service educators at the University of Utah. This includes nine years of experience teaching students with disabilities across the state as well as in Philadelphia.
Working with dozens of classrooms in the Salt Lake Valley, I know how to advocate for educators, paraprofessionals, and school support staff.
As a parent I have served in leadership roles on School Community Councils, PTAs and PTOs, as well as board roles for the Capitol Hill Neighborhood Council, Avenues Baseball, and the Utah Society for Environmental Education. I have long advocated for district and state education policies, fundraised for arts and outdoor learning programs, and continue to collaborate with many amazing families and educators in Precinct 3.
